ActionScript 3.0 Tutorials - AS3 Primer - Packages

I have started to write some tutorials on using ActionScript 3.0 in the tutorials section of this website. To start with, I am going to be covering some basic ActionScript 3.0 concepts under the heading AS3 Primer. As time goes by I will be covering more advanced topics to create realtime applications using ActionScript 3.0.

Most of the AS3 tutorials available on the web are based on the Flex IDE and I wanted to start writing tutorials focusing on the Flash IDE rather than the Flex IDE. For a few months I would be only covering the basic concepts of AS3 as its very important for any developer migrating from AS2 to AS3 to understand the difference between the two.

Feel free to drop a note if you are interested in understanding a particular concept and I will try to write a tutorial on that.
